The trend of a "Dealer Tinting" system is fast catching up. It is convenient for both the paint manufacturer and the dealer to manufacture and keep a minimum stock of colored paint. Ideally a white base is manufactured and then tinted at the retail outlet by tinters themselves to make custom made shades. The P.O.S system consists of:

Dispensers
Gyroshakers
Point-of-Sale Software

Point of Sale Software:

Master Library Software: Allows the user to feed the shades and their respective formulations. This master program will always be in the custody of the Paint manufacturer.

Dealer outlet Software: This software will be the actual interface at the outlet. The software will allow the selection of the shade by several methods. i.e.

Selection from Fandeck.
The customer brings in a sample.

The sample color is scanned by the sensor and searched in the Fandeck. A close match is selected if available.

If a close match is not found then a reasonably close match is selected and corrected online.

If even this is not possible then the software newly formulates the shade.

This guarantees that each and every shade is matched whether it is in or not in the library.

Provision for Pack size and custom pack size is also made in the software
