Simulate&Accelerate

The Q-Sun Xenon Test Chamber can be used to simulate and accelerate either outdoor or indoor service conditions. It is considered to be the most realistic simulation of full spectrum sunlight because it includes UV, visible and infrared wavelengths.

Typically products exposed out doors in direct sunlight experience the maximum possible light intensity for only a few hours each day. The Q-Sun can be programmed to reproduce noon summer sunlight 24 hours per day, everyday. Its ability to maintain a constant and consistent light intensity means the Q-Sun can provide realistic simulation and acceleration.

By reproducing different conditions (relative humidity, water spray, black panel and/or chamber air temperature control) the Q-Sun can effectively simulate a multitude of service environments.

This single lamp, bench-top model is perfect for a lab that has a limited budget or only an occasional testing need. The sample tray is 9.75 ” x 17.75 ” and can hold 11 test specimens that measure 2.75 ” x 4 ” for example). Foot print is only 24 ” x 30 ” .

Our full-featured, full-sized, self-standing tester uses three lamps to allow larger specimen capacity. The sample tray is 17.5 ” x 28 ” and can hold 39 flat panel, 2.75 ” x 4 ” (for example). It is useful for testing larger 3-D parts of components. Footprint is only 36 ” x 36 ” . Exposing larger dimensional parts is easy to do in the full-sized, self – standing Q-Sun Xe-3.
